Built by Analysts, for Analysts
We started myralenthis in 2019 because we couldn't find the training we actually needed. Real corporate finance is messy, political, and unpredictable. So we stopped teaching theory and started teaching what actually works.
The Spreadsheet That Started Everything
Back in 2018, I was working on a merger model at 2am. My senior manager kept sending it back with changes. Not errors—just different ways of doing the same thing. That's when it hit me: nobody teaches the unwritten rules of corporate finance.
We spent the next year interviewing CFOs, finance directors, and senior analysts. What do they actually want from their teams? What mistakes do new analysts keep making? How do the best finance departments actually operate?
Those conversations became our curriculum. Not textbook theory, but real scenarios from real companies dealing with actual problems.

How We Think About Training
Context Matters More Than Formulas
You can Google any financial formula. But knowing when to use which method for which stakeholder? That takes experience. We teach the judgment calls that separate good analysts from great ones.
Politics Are Part of Finance
Every forecast is a negotiation. Every budget is political. We don't shy away from teaching you how to navigate difficult conversations, manage up effectively, and build credibility with senior leadership.
Tools Change, Thinking Doesn't
We'll teach you the current tools, sure. But more importantly, we teach you how to think through problems so you can adapt when everything changes again in three years.
Who's Actually Teaching You
Sienna Kirkwood
Lead Instructor & Program Director
Spent twelve years in corporate finance roles at mid-sized manufacturing companies and tech startups. Mostly doing the unglamorous work—monthly reporting, variance analysis, capital planning. Started teaching because I was tired of onboarding analysts who couldn't build a three-statement model. Now I spend my time figuring out how to explain complex finance concepts without making people's eyes glaze over.
What Drives Our Decisions
These aren't aspirational values we printed on posters. They're the principles we actually use when designing programs, choosing instructors, and deciding what to teach.
Honest About Limitations
We can't teach you everything in six months. We focus on building a strong foundation and teaching you how to keep learning on your own. Some programs promise you'll be fully job-ready. We think that's unrealistic and sets you up for disappointment.
Real Scenarios Only
Every case study comes from actual companies we've worked with. We change names and numbers, but the problems are real. You'll work through the same messy situations you'll face in your career.
No Fluff, Just Skills
We don't pad courses with unnecessary content. If something doesn't directly help you do your job better, we cut it. Your time is valuable—we respect that.
Continuous Improvement
We update our curriculum every quarter based on feedback from students and employers. Finance moves fast. Our training needs to keep up.
